Rage Against the Machine published a song in Novemebr 1999 called "Testify".  What was true then continues to be true today.  I wanted to publish and comment on the lyrics, but I think the linked video does more justice than anything I could add.  It is amazing how much rruth can be found in the Social Commentary made by musicians, if we just take the time to LISTEN...or in this case, READ.

Back in the '60's, artist had to couch their soacial commentary in flowery rhetorical language in order to protect themselves from harrassment by The Establshment.  I am so glad we've gotten past that.  If recent legislation passed since this song was published is any indication, this Freedom of Expression may indeed be labeled "Terroristic" speech one day and BANNED...
