It wouldn't take very much actually.  All that is needed is an updated code for Google Analytics!  It seems that when I try to verify my column with Google Search it doesn't like the code I was given originally when I set up the account.  To paraphrase the response:  "your shits old!  You need new shit."  Then it gives these nice directions that you think would be easy to follow; take this out, insert this, change these X's to your user name and you should be good to go.

NOT!

As soon as I do what it says and hit "Save" under the script window, Newsvine informs me the "code appears invalid".  Really?  Okay.  So why give it to me then?

N-E-Way if we can maybe get one of the webmaster guru's around here to help the clueless like me get our shit together so Google Analytics, Google Search, and Newsvine all see and recognize each other, just the sheer volume of postings by our illustrious members would increase our traffic flow to the site.

On the other hand, maybe I will lose the bet...
