The Israeli Hebrew daily Maariv reported Thursday that the United States offered Israel cutting-edge weaponry in exchange for an Israeli pledge not to attack Iran’s nuclear program in 2012.
The report cited anonymous US diplomatic and intelligence sources as saying that the Obama administration would supply Israel with weapons that could extend its time-line for military action – like advanced GBU-28 bunker-busting bombs and long-range refueling aircraft, so that Israel could wait till after the 2012 presidential election to launch a strike.

Really?  Seriously?  Hey, Mr. President, are you THAT afraid of the bad press from Israel bombing Iran with weapons we gave them?  THEY ALREADY DO IT!!!  Well, I've got news for you:  If you thought the press would be bad if you had straight up given them the weapons, just imagine how much worse it will look when everyone knows you tied it to a promise to wait until AFTER the elections.

If we are that staunch of an ally that we will turn over some of our best technology to Israel and our cause is indeed justifiable, then WHEN Israel chooses to use the weapons would not be an issue now would it?  The fact that you have demanded they NOT use them until AFTER the election only serves to cast doubt upon WHY we are giving them the weapons in the first place!
