December 21st, 2012 is only three weeks away.  DOOMSDAY!...or so I've been told...and we will be hearing much more about it as the date gets closer.  Depending on which version you believe, we will be invaded by aliens, the magnetic poles will flip causing havoc, the Rapture will occur, aliens will invade/reveal themselves, and the Earth will be pulled apart by giant Earthquakes and Volcanoes.  Going to be a very busy day!  So here I sit with bated breath deciding on whether to stock up on ammo, food, or placards to wave from rooftops welcoming the visitors from beyond the exosphere.  I decided that maybe a poll of Newsvine would help me to decide the best course of action and so here I am.

Thanks to the Mayans, we have a firm date for the End of the World as we know it, so with only three weeks left to live in the style we have grown accustomed to, how do YOU plan to spend your time?  Me; I'm going to keep shopping for Christmas just in case nothing meaningful happens.  I figure if it does all come crashing down, all the preparation in the world wouldn't stave off the inevitable, if I survive, of my children looking for their Christmas presents...lol!
